Today I desire to explain about the difference between critical thinking and lateral thinking. This understanding I got from my team leader in work-field.
Before jump to that one, there are something to talk about.
Sympathy and Empathy
Sympathy is where you focus on what happen to someone else. Having desire to help. But empathy is when you located yourself as them, not only understanding what happen to them but also act as them, then you'll help.
Critical thinking is the way of thinking which is focused in the data. This also means as an intellectually process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, and/or evaluating information gathered from observation experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication as a guide to beliefe and action.
Lateral thinking involves solving problems through an indirect and creative approach, using reasoning that is not immediately obvious and involving ideas that may not be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic or simple analysis.
